Luke Skywalker's Green Lightsaber

Luke Skywalker's Green Lightsaber

In the first two released Star Wars movies (A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back), Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) didn't use his own lightsaber - he used Obi-Wan Kenobi (Obi-Wan Kenobi) Lightsaber given to his father.

His father, Anakin Skywalker (played by Harden Christianson), built the weapon during the events of the prequel Star Wars movies. Obi-Wan handed the lightsaber to Luke, who continued to use it until it was lost at the end of The Empire Strikes Back, cut from his hand by Darth Vader in the iconic scene in Cloud City.

In Return of the Jedi, Luke reappears, this time with weapons forged from his own hands and strength, reflecting his qualities as a Jedi. This one is bright green - in my opinion - one of the best sabers in the collection. The hilt is modeled after Obi-Wan Kenobi's saber, but the color of the knife is noticeably different.

So, Luke has a green one now, right? Well, not so easy.

With the release of The Force Awakens, we see Luke's blue lightsaber handed over from Maz Kanata (Lupita Nyong'o) to Jedi apprentice Rey (Daisy Reid) Lee ornaments). So it's not lost? ! Luke was then finally found on the planet Akhto, hiding on a remote island, with no green lightsaber -- his second saber -- to carry with him. Where did that one go?

Is this just a matter of continuity for the filmmakers, or is there any solution to double-checking the story?

Luke Skywalker's Green Lightsaber

It seems clear that Luke has the green saber as his primary weapon. He built it himself and used it to kill Jabba Desiljic Tilley's bodyguard when Tatooine rescued Han Solo. For a long time, it was believed that Luke lost the Green Sabre when the second Death Star exploded in Return of the Jedi, based on the scene where Luke throws it aside, giving himself to his father Anakin The remaining benevolent and kind, still wearing Darth Vader costumes and characters at the time.

That assumption was overturned in 2017 with the release of The Last Jedi, which flashed back to Luke's Jedi school. In a flashback scene, Luke confronts his nephew Kylo Ren (played by Adam Driver), formerly known as Ben Solo (son of Han Solo and the princess/General Leia). Luke apparently had a green lightsaber while training a new batch of Jedi, which happened before the events of The Force Awakens. So, after Return of the Jedi ended, Luke still had that green knife.

First, when the New Jedi Order fell, he probably lost it in the battle with Kylo Ren. After these events, Luke may have destroyed his weaponry, thinking he wasn't even worthy of being a Jedi, let alone train more. It could also have sunk in the ocean around Ahch-To, being thrown into the water when he sank the X-wing. It's more likely that the X-Wing stayed in place like a wreck, while something as small as a lightsaber might have been washed away.
